Who we are

Logan Church of the Nazarene cares about one thing more than anything else, Jesus Christ. Logan Church of the Nazarene is a family of individuals that have found hope in Jesus, and simply want as many people as possible to experience that exact same freedom.

Where we come from

Logan Church of the Nazarene was started in 1935 when Rev. W. V. Thompson came to the area with a tent to establish a Church of the Nazarene. Our first church building was located on Dingess St. on the hill overlooking Central City. Later, around 1955 God opened the doors for us to buy the Presbyterian Church building on Bridge St. We still have this building now known as the Wallen Auditorium that houses areas for fellowship, children’s and youth ministries, and Sunday school classes. In 1981 we broke ground for our new sanctuary which we moved into on Feb. 28, 1982. God has brought us a long way from 1935 when we began with 10 charter members who had a vision to plant a church.

Where we’re headed

What’s the bottom line? More than ever, the Logan Church of the Nazarene is committed to fostering a family built around faith in Jesus Christ. Hope for the future. Help for a better life today. Training and equipping laity.  And as we move forward as a church family, inclusion and belonging remain at the center of who we are as followers of Christ.
